The 7th Town Historical Society now hold their meetings and special events at the Ameliasburgh Community Hall, 13 Coleman Street, Ameliasburg, Ontario, Canada. All are welcome; refreshments are served.

Saturday, February  20, 2010Mr. Wilinson     Mr. Wilfrid J. Wilkinson is the immediate Past President of Rotary International.  His deep commitment to professional, excellence,  community, and family is well known.  As a member of the International Polio Committee, Mr. Wilkinson has been dedicated to the  global effort to eradicate polio.  He has also been a Health, Hunger and Humanity program volunteer to India.  He has been  recognized for his humanitarian service by the Knights of Columbus, the Province of Ontario, the Government of Canada, and in 2001  was honoured by Pope John Paul II with the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal.  In 2007, the Governor General of Canada appointed  him as a Member of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honour.

     Mr. Wilkinson is Past President of the Province of Ontario Public Accountants Coucil and a Past Treasurer of both the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.  Mr. Wilkinson is a former chair of the Board of Govenors and currently is an Honourary Director of the Loyalist College Foundation.
